Prega News brings to you an amazing platform where the goddesses of our neighbourhood can showcase their talents to become ‘Doshobhuja’. We are inviting all the Puja Committees to nominate the most talented women from their localities. Individual participants can also take part in this grand competition!

DOSHOBHUJA
Prega News undertakes a journey into Rural Bengal to educate women about the new strength they have in hand with Prega News.
Prega News Doshobhuja competition will allow women from Rural Bengal to come forward during the festive season and showcase their unique talent and get the title of Bengal’s Best Doshobhuja.
This title will be accompanied with an attractive gift for all the winners from respective locations. Top three winners at the Grand Finale will get Rs.75,000 (winner), Rs.50,000 (first runner-up) & Rs.25,000 (2nd runner-up) respectively!
Competition
The Prega News Doshobhuja contest is limited to selected Barowari and Abashon (depending on availability of Abashon pujos) pujos of Medinipur, Asansol, Durgapur, Bolpur, Burdwan, Kolkata South, Kolkata North, Siliguri, Malda, Krishnanagar, Berhampore, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Howrah and Hooghly.
Prega News Doshobhuja contest will allow only women participants showcasing their unique talent for the title of Prega News Doshobhuja
Participants have to showcase their talent on the basis of below mentioned criteria:
– Bengali Song
– Recitation
– Dance
– Dhunuchi Dance
– Acting
– Playing the Dhaak
Judging will be done on 10 points (5 points for performance & 5 points for Q & A)
Evaluation dates for each location will be announced along with judge visit timing

Rules
Competition is valid for only women participants between 18-45 years of age. Each club can register minimum 5 & maximum of 20 women participants.

Notice
Last date of registration is 19th October 2025. Judging dates for individual location will be announced along with judge visit timing.
